The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely true and without error in the original writings. It is the supreme authority for all matters of faith and practice. (References: 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)
What we believe at Faith Baptist Church
These fundamental beliefs guide our church and ministry. They represent the core truths we hold dear as followers of Jesus Christ.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely true and without error in the original writings. It is the supreme authority for all matters of faith and practice. (References: 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, yet there is only one God. (References: Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven. (References: John 1:1, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. It is a free gift from God that cannot be earned by good works. (References: Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10)
We believe the church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers. The local church exists to worship God, fellowship together, make disciples, and serve our community. (References: 1 Corinthians 12:27, Matthew 28:19-20)
We believe in baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. We regularly observe communion as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice for us. (References: Romans 6:4, 1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
We believe Christians are called to live holy lives that honor God. We should grow in our faith, serve others, and share the gospel with the world. (References: 1 Peter 1:15-16, Galatians 5:22-23)
We believe in the eternal existence of all souls. Those who trust in Christ will spend eternity with God in heaven. Jesus Christ will return to earth to establish His kingdom. (References: John 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
